He gained prominence as the co-head writer for CBS's "The Late Late Show with James Corden," contributing to Emmy-winning segments like "Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live From Liverpool" in 2018. Karmel's stand-up has been featured on platforms such as "Conan" and Netflix's "The Comedy Lineup." In 2024, he co-authored "T-Shirt Swim Club: Stories from Being Fat in a World of Thin People" with his sister, Dr. Alisa Karmel. He also hosts the popular podcast "All Fantasy Everything," where he and guests humorously draft and discuss various pop culture topics.
