Ian Smith (as seen on Live at the Apollo, The Stand Up Sketch Show and co-host of the Northern News podcast) is a multi-award winning comedian. This is his Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated show Crushing - about stress, love and driving a tank in Slovakia with your hairdresser. Ian is a regular on BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz, Now Show and Just A Minute - and recently had his own 4 part Radio 4 stand-up series, Ian Smith is Stressed. Crushing was also nominated for Next Up’s “Biggest Award in Comedy”, the (ISH) Comedy Award and Best Show in the Chortle Awards. It was selected in the Guardian’s best comedy shows of 2023.
